Design Bootcamp by School of Motion is one of the toughest and intensive courses out there with tons of knowledge and a lot of assignments that horned my skills to the next level mentored by Michael Frederick.

The rule number one for me was to challenge my self of making something different every time. It was really challenging and so much fun.

The course is 6 weeks long, each week has two assignments... So, here we go...
Orientation week
This is the first assignment, it was about designing a Title card and a transition from a footage of (Dota 2 tournament). The goal of this assignment is to test your skills before engaging into the course.
Week One
The first assignment is about a dancing show called Urban Freestyle: Tokyo Throwdown, where teams of break dancers compete each other on the streets of Tokyo. The client wanted this to be inspired by the location.
Week Two
Expedition 100: Mission to Mars, the client is Nasa, the assignment is to design a Style Frame options- I made two. We had to make a treatment on the footage as well as design for all GFX. The feel should be dangerous, awe-inspiring, cinematic.
Week Two
The stage two of the expedition which are Design Boards.
Week Three
Diesel is hosting an EDM festival in Barcelona and would like to nail down a design direction and
structure for a :30 commercial for the concert. The festival will be held at a popular club and will feature tons of
popular EDM acts, lots of glow sticks and Red Bull and Vodkas. The spot should reflect the Diesel brand.

Diesel tend to use black and white in their designs, It was a bit tough to stick with their color palette and style.
Week Four
12 Kilometers is a horror film directed by Mike Pecci, the mission is to make Design Boards showing the design of the opening Title Card, the transition to footage, a couple of fullframe shots from the trailer, a transition frame, and the end card.
Week Four
Everlearn.io is a startup devoted to educating the US public about the issues surrounding the way higher
education is sold and delivered.
Our mission was to create boards for a :15 brand awareness spot. They have provided us their (four colors) color palette and style reference.
Week Five
This assignment was so much fun to work on, a :05 logo reveal animation for Converse, we were supposed to make it 3D, they provided us an open source logo. I built the idea from scratch. I inspired the idea from the high energetic commercials of Nike.

I was hesitating a lot on deciding to post the sketching process (scribbles), but yeah, it's not the end of the world :)
Week Five
IBM has been working on a concept called a SmartCity and they would like to unveil it to the world. Less traffic, affordable housing, lower energy costs. scripted out a :30. We have to make this feel friendly... this technology could be seen as intrusive, so the design should help to reinforce the idea that this is safe and to be used for good.

They provided us the illustrations which are an original creation by Brian Gossett, also provided us with IBM brand guidelines, so that the style stay on-brand.
IBM has a wide range of colors in their color palette, it was hard to decide what to use, so I was using colors based on their material design.

This assignment was so challenging, from scratching the ideas to choosing the proper colors.
Week Six
Premium Beat is looking to create a :30 Anthem spot for their brand. The spot is called “The Perfect Song” and
talks about how important music is to the creative video process.

The idea was totally up to us, the Brand guideline was included, that helped a lot.
This assignment was the most challenging, it took me so much time a lot working on the idea, I inspired the art direction from the still-life photos in the web.

The models are credited to www.cgtrader.com.
Check out the rough sketches without laughing please :)

First sketch which the idea based on.
Finally, I'm so honored to be selected for School of Motion’s Student Spotlight!
That's pretty much it. Thanks for watching!
